Personal Options are preferences about the look and use of the some site features. Checking this box Disables the visual editor when writing post and pages. Only the HTML editor will be visible. The Admin Color Scheme is for changing the color of the Admin panels. Each user can use either color without affecting the others users. The Keyboard Shortcuts box Enables keyboard shortcuts for comment moderation. Keyboard shortcuts are designed to allow you to rapidly navigate and perform actions on comments. When this option is enabled the comments can be edited by using various keyboard keys to select and edit comments. The Comments Shortcuts video describes each of these shortcuts and how they're used. The Show Admin Bar line lets you choose if you want the Admin Bar to show. The Admin Bar is a set of quick links to often used features of WordPress. If you have "When Viewing Site" Checked and you are logged into your account, the Admin Bar will appear at the top of your site. Visitors to your site will not see this bar. You need to be logged into the account for the Admin Bar to appear. If you un-check this box and click update then it will not show even when logged in. Under Name are the preferences on how your name appears and is used. The User-name cannot be edited because it's used in the log-in process. The First and last name can be entered but are not required. A Nickname is required for every user. It can be the same as the User Name or it can be different. If you don't supply a Nickname, then the User Name will be placed in this field. "Display name publicly as" is a drop-down. This is how the name is seen on site. If a first and last name was entered above then the drop down will have choices.
