The background is the space behind the content of the site. The custom background screens allows you to add an image and/or a color to this background.
Navigate to the Appearance Background screen. This screen may be different depending on the active theme being used.
The screen is divided into the Background Image and Display Options.
Background Image is used to upload and preview an image for the background and the Display Options allows you to format the display of that image.
An image can be selected from the local computer or from an image that you've already uploaded to the Media Library.
To select the background image from your local computer click the Browse Button and locate the background image. Drag and drop the image to the uploader or Click save and then click the upload button. The background image will be uploaded and be placed in the Preview window.
That activates the Display Options where you can Position the image to the top left, the top center or to the top right of the site.
Select the no-repeat for a single image or tile for the entire page or a tile horizontal or a tile vertical.
The ATTACHMENT function is for a SCROLL or FIXED position. Scroll will allow the image to move with the page as it scrolls. While FIXED will cause the image to remain fixed on the page as you scroll.
